Marquee Events is a DJ and event entertainment company serving Rochester, Buffalo, Canandaigua, the Finger Lakes, and Columbus, Ohio. From weddings to corporate events and private celebrations, the focus is the same: create events that feel well run, musically sharp, and built around the people in the room.
Rick Parisi founded Marquee Events after seeing too many events handled the same way, with the same music, the same pacing, and very little attention to what actually makes a night feel personal. Marquee Events was built to do it differently and has built its reputation the right way: through preparation, consistency, and nights people do not forget.
Why this company was built
Rick’s connection to this work started early. His uncle played in a wedding band, and seeing how people responded to music stayed with him. At 17, he was approached by the owner of a DJ company and asked if he had ever thought about becoming a DJ. That conversation set everything in motion.
As Rick built experience in weddings and private events, he kept seeing the same problem: too many celebrations felt generic. The same songs. The same structure. The same formula, regardless of who was in the room. Marquee Events was built as a response to that.
Rick has performed at more than 1,500 weddings and was named the official Headlining DJ for Mobile Beat Las Vegas, one of the best-known professional gatherings in the private-event DJ industry. Alongside that industry recognition, Marquee Events has earned 5-star reviews across Google, WeddingWire, and The Knot.
